1. How We Handle Client Data
The firm collects information from prospective and active clients through three channels: (a) intake forms on this website, (b) email communications, (c) telephone consultations. All client communications are governed by Texas Disciplinary Rule 1.05 (confidentiality of information) and the attorney-client privilege.
- Storage: Active client matter information is stored in encrypted-at-rest practice management software with role-based access controls.
- Retention: Closed matter files are retained for the period required by State Bar of Texas record-retention guidance and applicable malpractice-coverage minimums.
- Destruction: Files retained beyond their required period are destroyed using cross-cut shredding (paper) or cryptographic erasure (electronic).
- Access: Client matter information is accessible only to attorneys and staff with a documented need-to-know on the matter.

This site uses minimal third-party services, each disclosed in our Privacy Policy. Specifically:

The firm respects AI-bot directives via robots.txt (explicit allowlist for legitimate AI search crawlers including OpenAI's GPTBot and ChatGPT-User, Anthropic's ClaudeBot, Perplexity, Google-Extended) and via /.well-known/ai.txt.

L and L Law Group has not received any law enforcement or government information request directed at this website's user data during the reporting period.
